Terri has been growing the tastiest berries for 15 years, right outside of Lumby. From 1991 – 1994 they were certified organic and sold garlic. They are no longer certified but still follow the same growing practices. Tanglewood Farms values providing high quality, organically grown food for others to enjoy.
Terry says she loves the whole process, preparing the soil, planting the seed, tending the seedlings and then the reward of the harvest. She said “It’s pretty amazing when you think of it (the growing part). We grow raspberries, black currants, blackberries and strawberries for sale. We grow a summer’s supply of other assorted vegetables.”
Terri loves the Mabel Lake Valley and enjoys the climate, the easy access to remote areas and the abundance of the area.
She says that “the Co-op is such a practical way for producers and consumers to benefit each other.”
Come on into the store and pre-order some of Terri’s wonderful raspberries.
